You're Doing Guangzhou Wrong

Most visitors see the Canton Tower, eat at a touristy dim sum spot, and leave thinking they've "done" Guangzhou.

They haven't.

[Click here to read the full online version before you make a purchase.]

What if you could:

  • Find the 86-year-old noodle shop hidden in a Liwan District alley, where the broth recipe is a family secret?
  • Navigate the 900-year-old Pantang Ancient Village tucked away in the city center, where locals still live as they have for generations?
  • Know exactly which Cantonese claypot rice place is worth the queue (and which are tourist traps)?
  • Confidently use the Guangzhou metro to reach authentic food streets most foreigners never find?

This isn't another generic list of attractions. This is your insider's access pass to the real Guangzhou.

Why This Guide Beats Everything Else

We Give You What Others Don't:

Pre-trip Setup Made Simple: Step-by-step instructions for Alipay, VPN, and essential apps BEFORE you arrive
3 Arrival Day Plans: Different itineraries based on whether you land at 1 PM or 7 PM
Food Decoder: Know what to order at every type of restaurant with our visual guides
Navigation That Actually Works: Every address opens directly in Amap with one click
Time-Saving Routes: Efficient paths that maximize your 144 visa-free hours

What You'll Experience:

  • Morning Tea Like a Local - not in hotel restaurants, but where Guangzhou families have gone for generations
  • The Contrast between futuristic Zhujiang New Town and the colonial architecture of Shamian Island
  • Hidden Food Streets beyond the touristy Beijing Road, where flavors tell stories of Guangzhou's history
  • The Perfect Pearl River Night Cruise - which pier, which boat, and exactly when to go for the best photos

"But Can't I Just Use Free Blogs?"

You could. And you'll spend:

  • Hours cross-referencing conflicting information from 2019 blog posts
  • Missing out on current local favorites that change seasonally
  • Getting lost because the Chinese address doesn't match the map
  • Wasting precious time on logistics instead of experiencing Guangzhou

Our guide eliminates the guesswork. Everything is:

  • Current (updated April 2025)
  • Tested by actual travelers using the 144-hour visa-free policy
  • Practical with working links, exact prices, and local tips

This pdf has a lot of information. First timers to China will benefit with step by step guide in setting up relevant apps in the phone. I used the guide to make booking at the museum. The details in the guide helped non-Chinese readers. Even though the title of the pdf is 144-hour, there are so many suggestions that I can make many more 144-hour trips into Guangzhou. The map links are so convenient!

      Detailed and Practical Guide!

The level of detail in this guide is impressive. The section on hotel and attraction bookings made planning my trip stress-free. The one-click navigation feature on Amap saved me so much time, and the food recommendations were amazing. I especially loved the small, lesser-known attractions suggested in the guide. Definitely worth it!
